Dear Warui-shogi Club Members, To ensure transparency and encourage active participation, we’ve formalized the Appendix of Club Rules and detailed the criteria for becoming an Administrator, Coordinator, or Super Admin. Please review the promotion pathways below and strive for excellence in tournament play, online ratings, and club engagement. 1. Tournament Play 1.1. Coordinator Promotion Participate in at least 9 Warui-shogi League tournaments while maintaining an average score ≥ 50% of maximum points, or; Finish 1st or 2nd place in 6 separate Warui-shogi League tournaments. 1.2. Administrator Promotion Secure 1st or 2nd place in the Warui-shogi Candidates tournament 1.3. Super Admin Promotion Win the annual Warui-shogi Championship 2. Chess.com Warui-shogi Ratings 2.1. Coordinator Promotion Rating ≥ 1800 on Chess.com Warui-shogi ≥ 100 rated games played ≥ 10 rated games in the past month 2.2. Administrator Promotion Rating ≥ 2000 on Chess.com Warui-shogi ≥ 250 rated games played ≥ 25 rated games in the past month or Rating ≥ 1900 and ranking top 20 on the Chess.com Warui-shogi leaderboard 2.3. Super Admin Promotion Rating ≥ 2200 on Chess.com Warui-shogi ≥ 500 rated games played ≥ 50 rated games in the past month or Rating ≥ 2100 and ranking top 10 on the Chess.com Warui-shogi leaderboard 3. Club Ranking 3.1. Coordinator Promotion Club ranking ≥ 3-dan 3.2. Administrator Promotion Club ranking ≥ 5-dan 3.3. Super Admin Promotion Club ranking ≥ 7-dan 4. Invitation by current Administrators Receive an invitation to join the Administrator team and obtain ≥ ⅔ majority vote of approval from existing Administrators 🔄 Promotion & Demotion Process All promotions and demotions are handled via our “manually automated” system, overseen by the Owner and current Administrators. Any changes to your status will be reflected within 48 hours of meeting the above criteria or following a formal vote. Thank you for your dedication and fair play. Hello everyone, The 2026 Warui-shogi Championship Cycle is about to begin, and sign-ups are officially open! This pinned thread will serve as both registration hub and game posting hub. Please read through all details and post your entry here before the deadline. Organizers will monitor this thread. 📅 Timeline & Sign-Up Sign-Up Period: Opens at 00:00 (UTC +00:00), Jan 15th, 2025, and closes in 5 days at 23:59. Entry Lock: Exactly 5 days after today, no further entries will be accepted. Cycle Start: 01:00 (UTC +00:00), Jan 20th. 🔍 How It Works 1. Joining To enter, simply reply to this thread with "@[your username]" before the entry lock deadline. Only replies before the entry lock count as valid entries. 2. Pairings & Scheduling Once the tournament begins, organizers will assign each player an opponent for Round 1 (No assignments for the Qualifier). Each pairing must schedule and complete their match(es) within 2 days (1 month for the Qualifier) of notification. If you need more time, request a one-time extension in the pairing announcement post—approval is at the organizers’ discretion (No request approval for the Qualifier). 3. Spectators Every match should either include at least one fellow member as a spectator or being mutually agreed by both players.
