Introduction Administrators responsible for Vote Chess and shall appoint captains for VC games (a captain can supervise several games). The guidelines for players are as below: Guidelines For Players 1. Vote chess is a team game. Please do not play it as your individual game but share your move with others along with explanation for your choice first, read other’s view in the team comments on that move and/or another move and consider why they think differently and if their strategy looks better than yours. If you are not convinced, express your logic again, discuss with others about the pros and cons of that particular move. This is applicable to both better rated players as well as the beginners or learners. 2. Keep the ”tracking” of that game always on to enable you to get alerts as and when new comments are made. 3. We generally have enough time for discussion in each game. All we need is to instill patience within ourselves. If any participant is unable to wait for the discussion before casting his vote, he is requested not to join vote chess. 4. Once you make a comment/suggestion, it is advisable not to edit or delete the contents as it may lead to confusion to others, specially if there is delay in your edit/ delete. Please make all corrections through another comment. 5. Please wait till consensus is reached or at least the different options have been discussed among the majority for the best move. The captain for the game will recommend the best move and cut-off time to vote (e.g. Vote after 2 days of discussion is over, for a 3 days game). Please have faith in the captain and give due weightage to his recommendation while casting your vote. 6. If you miss continuity in the discussion, you can always click “Archive“ to look at the comments made for each move and see what strategy was planned by team mates on previous moves. 7. Vote chess becomes a great learning experience by listening to others and following the best suggested moves, thus enriching our chess experience that counts in our personal games too. All members, willing to learn and share their expertise, are requested to participate in vote chess as much as possible and act within the given parameters of our team. As number of participants’ increases there is a bright possibility for a variety of moves suggested and thereby it adds to the depth of the core strength of our team. 8. Cast your vote at last only after you have considered the above points. If you have any questions / doubts on playing VOTE chess, please feel free to contact us in this forum. Just drop a note.. we(admins) will follow you soon.
Aarwin wanted more games, so their wish is granted. This game is sort of like "The person above me" game, except: 1. It's the person below me that you're describing. 2. You learn more about others because you have to describe more in order for people to post. 3. Behemoth1 doesn't participate in these (normally). The person below me is awesome.
you can share your blunder games, stupid moves, jokes, humours ... anything...your comments on this highly appreciated.
in this game, you must: make a move and post a diagram with the current position you may not post 2x in a row You must have the WILL TO WIN! I will also post the current move list here: e4
In this you can post your Completed and On going ONLINE chess games and we can discuss the pros and cons ( Like VC). Better post the link. Thanks,Aarwin
Link for team matches: http://www.chess.com/groups/matches/will-to-win In Team matches, two groups fight against each other. Once the match is created, players of both the teams are available to join their respective team. Players are arranged according to their rating. Eg: http://www.chess.com/groups/team_match.html?id=72963 What happens when I join? When does my game start? Once, you have joined a team match, forget about it. There is no need to worry. Your match will start when administrators of both the teams "lock" their team. How is a team match played? A team match is turn based chess and it is same like ONLINE chess / correspondence chess. How will I know when my game has started? Keep logging in to chess.com regularly (atleast, once in a day). When your match has started, you will be notified about it in your homepage. Keep playing your moves. How important it is? A Team match end result will add points to groups played between. So the net result, we win or loose it directly impacts the group rank and its total points. So make sure, before you join a team match, you should not loose the game as "TIME OUT". If you have any more doubts, post a comment here or feel free to send me a message.
You can post here your opinions so we can make an rules in our group.. So if anyone can break it.. We can disband them
You can share your photos here.
