My experience from playing chess as well as cards against women is they tend to be way too conservative and unwilling to take risk. I always try to tell them to play like they have a pair.

At no point did he actually say they "just don't have the brains to play chess." The article is titled in such a way in order to sensationalize the topic and bring viewers into the article who might be offended or who might have strong opinions on the matter. 

I don't know if there's something to what he's saying. But I do think he should be given a chance to say it, and this political correctness-fueled backlash against him is pretty bullshit if you ask me. There are undeniably differences between male and female brains. The key question is whether those differences influence chess. It's at least a question worth thinking about, and the media (and women in general) have taken his statements as an attack against women, which they are not.

Of course he's full of himself. That's how most super-GMs are. But I feel that people are completely disrespecting his point just because it's politically incorrect. He's not attacking women...if you think that's what he's doing, then you should actually read the article (and not just the title)!
