Wow, Shirov is on fire.  Is he the next Magnus Carlsen?

ankitthemaster

No, carlsen next opponent is nakamura and thats going to be very interesting match. Carlsen will face shirov on 24th and he will play black. I hope Anand pick his form or his he can say bye bye to title :(

Can anybody tell me why topalov is not playing in corus ?

I am desperately waiting for match between Anand and carlsen or Anand vs kramnik. Anand is going to play with carlsen on 22nd and he will be playing white.

ankitthemaster

ya after all WC is much important than corus. But it would have been really interesting to see Anand , carlsen, topalov and kramnik playing each other .

Nytik

Seems to me that Anand is going to struggle to defend his WC title this year.

However, saying that, where has Topalov been? He is absent from most major tournaments. Either he's doing some serious preparation, or he's just relaxing on the sofa at home. Cool

Robson is playing well. He also did well in his two games at the World Teams but I think he is 15 years old (Ray Robson (born October 25, 1994) not 13.
