Atomic and Bughouse are my favorites, for Atomic, I find it helps to play more defensively, and for Bughouse, work with your teammate, for example, if your teammate only needs an extra pawn to checkmate his opponent in one don't be scared to sac a piece for a pawn. It's definitely different from regular chess in that way.
