A lot of people have suggested this to me. First problem with that is, how do you verify a member's age? Also, I think that people below 18 are probably more likely to behave immaturely in some cases, definitely not exclusively. I actually really liked your other idea, "The Examplaries". It's just that we already have a logo for The Elite and it would take a lot of time to get another one.

I have actually listened and addressed that critique by opening a new section in the OP for individuals who do not meet the requirements for the wall, yet are still considered helpful and notable members, the honorable mentions. So nobody should feel excluded or left out anymore.

But apart from that, I don't think there is much more we can do. Because then we'd basically be complaining about why people can't immediately join the Navy Seals or Forbes list lol, of course there are gonna be some requirements.

As for the name "Elite", it's just a name.

A catchy and compelling name is important when you are trying to generate interest for something. Whether we are called the Elite or Regular Joes, our message of kindness and mission to make these forums a better place would still be the same.

The trolling we are experiencing has nothing to do with our name, message or join requirements. Steven and his band of trolls are simply angry that they were rightfully removed from my club, that has nothing to do with the public wall topic and we have no influence on their inability to accept rejection. We can only ignore it.

Completely natural question is to ask what exactly your objectives are.

Lol thanks I guess? So this is a question about our private club, not the public wall.

If you want to run a successful club or business it's important to assign clear roles and establish even clearer rules, in order to ensure a smooth, daily routine and workflow.

My objectives for the club are many, but most important to me is that our members can have a private retreat with a plethora of different activities and engaging topics, especially tailored for the Elite. In order to achieve that all Admins and Coordinators need to know exactly what they need to do and when.

I understand that some people may have a different philosophy about rules, but this is a private club afterall, and while I do welcome any constructive criticism, we are of course going to do what we think is best to entertain our members and keep them safe.

In our club it's all about the members. Staff's including my primary objective is to ensure our member's fun and well being, not our own. That's why I carefully choose who I assign.

The big wall of fame / HM topic has only one message, however. Here we are trying to rid the forums of all toxicity and meaningless fighting with acts of peace and kindness. And of course by celebrating and paying respect to other helpful, renowned and kind posters.

@redzippyquest yeah anything with a possible rating, really. Could be puzzles, crazy house etc.

That rule is to ensure a minimum base of chess knowledge and understanding.

I have decided to keep it btw.
