Who is @david?

Anyone is allowed to have 2 accounts. They just need to get permission from staff first.

You can use multiple accounts IF AND ONLY IF chess.com gives you permission for your specified reason. For example, chess.com titled players can have a 2nd account to test lines anonymously. I am sure the chess.com staff can get second accounts permitted: one for work and one for themselves.

Another point is that when a Moderator or a Staff member posts something, the rest of us need to know whether they are posting in their official capacity (as a Mod) or just making a regular post like the rest of us goons.

I'm a Demi-Mod on the Paradox forum, and they give us colors to use when we are posting in our official capacity. My signature block says:
