Because they are fed up that despitehaving a massive advantage in a game the other player does not resign and decides to play the clock,, basically winning dishonorably

See, you answer the question of the entire thread right there. Someone's new and you question their intelligence. That's pretty weak. You don't know me from any other stranger. You and your community are not very welcoming, hence people delete their accounts.
I've had (and closed) an account here in the past. I considered playing 10 minute games was hurting my chess as I could not focus on long term strategy in such a short time control. At that point in time I had been trying to stop thinking tactically only, and playing 10 minute games did not help with that.
