Ron is in the US. I couldn’t find someone here in Aus to do the work.
I’ll try and bring the set home from work. I took it in for my project team to use. They liked the idea but no one has used it.

@Skelts1974 Thanks! I just want to see if there a difference can be seen just for future reference if break or misplace a piece.
Perhaps I can comment. The clone pawn is very close but not exact. The average joe would not notice the difference, but I am a bit more anal retentive than most. For example their is a slight difference in the curvature of the pawn in the area where the neck transitions to the base. All being said Ron has done an amazing job.
I’ll add photos where I can.

That makes sense. It would be difficult for anyone to make an exact copy. Post photos when you can.
Love the vintage Lardy set. I have a 4 inch vintage Lardy set myself. I don't ever use the set. My only beef with the vintage Lardy set. Is that they are prone to have leaning pieces. My White King leans a little. Other than that the vintage Lardy set is a classic and ages well.

I think any vintage set might have a leaning issue. Both of my Lardy sets are straight as arrows. My 70s 82 mm Chavet on the other hand has some issues. There are 4 leaning bishops. It is a bit comical.
Wow! That looks really close. At first, I couldn't even tell them apart. I had to look a few times. The finish looks really good. The stem is slightly different but I probably wouldn't notice that if you didn't mention anything. I think the collar is the giveaway though. That's quite impressive. Ron did an excellent job.
Interesting. Where is Ron Fromkin based?
