Probably whichever player you like more. There is likely another book on Tal in the works since the 2nd book only covers up to 1971. Like all Quality chess books, they are high quality. The Karpov books a little beefier. Karolyi also has a book about Karpov published by New In Chess, Endgame Virtuoso: Anatoly Karpov.

Hi all!
Tibor Karolyi has written 4 books, two about Tal and the others about Karpov. What do you think about them? If I could buy only two would you recommend those about Tal or Karpov?
Thanks for the help.
