A tale of two sets

Thanks for your kind words @Wits-end and others. 👍 I am just circling back here to thank the HoS team for their prompt and attentive service - the replacement piece arrived today, hassle free. So, the complete set is now in place and the damaged knight looks on from afar.😉

I like the slightly oversized head of the bishop, reminiscent of a pilot whale's head. Very handful and distinctive.

@kiwimotard - yes, I was attracted to that too. It think the set is ‘classic’ but subtly different … if that makes any sense. That bishop has an offset mitre cut too. Quite interesting. 👍

To me,the appeal of that set is that it's subtly different from the normal realm of common sets we've seen a zillion times.....Really nice.
