Any ideas on the maker?

Greetings,

Saw this add for chess pieces in Quebec, Canada. At 20$, I jumped on the offer right away. Might be a while before I can actually pick them up (and look for any signs on the box), but was wondering if any one had an idea on the maker?

Cheers,

The knight patterns are unique. I don't think i've seen those before.

Hi that’s a French Lardy from the with the glass eye Knights. Possible 50’s or 60’s.

GreyStoic, it looks like they could be, but I agree with ChessDude, that little toupet on the knights is quite unique.

Never really cared for glass eyed Knights. Reminds me of Goliath from the Claymation Christian series. I like the series. Just not the glass eyed Knights. Look cartoony and freaky.

You got a great deal. That set would go for over 100 on ebay.

I have seen them listed as German but you are right they just distribute them.
