Almost the same DarkJedi, you have done 116.3 hours, I've done 116.6.

Convekta's CT-Art (I have version 4.0) is graded in the way you seek. You can do tactics by theme (e.g., forks, pins, etc.) or by difficulty (level 10 of any theme, then level 20, etc.). Some of the tactics are very difficult though. I haven't made it past level 50 yet, and they go up to 90 in steps of 10, but the initial levels are easy, though still worthwhile to get the patterns really ingrained in your memory.

Sounds interesting enough, and I believe it's part of a bigger package or some kind, 4 or 5 volumes maybe,

Why use just one resource?

I use TT on this site, Chess Tempo, Chessimo, Encyclopedia of Chess Combinations CD version, Lev Alburt's Chess Training Pocket Book, Chess Quest (iPad), and more.

See http://chessskill.blogspot.com/search/label/Personal%20Progress for my periodic reports.

I read M. de Maza's 400 points in 400 days. Although he offers some instructive techniques, his disdain for strategic planning and his abandonment of chess after reaching his goal are good reasons to treat his method with caution. Incidentally, I was under 1500 USCF when I read his article and am now 1970 USCF. It has taken me more than 400 days, but my interest in the game has grown, while MDM displays classic signs of burn-out.
