I am currently reading Play Like a Grandmaster, which I like a lot, even though some recommend it for player above rating 1700 (I am about otb rating 1520).
I like the way Kotov explains how to assess the position and make plan. It is very detailed and makes it easy to get an idea how strong players thinks etc.
I know Silman does it in a similar way but are there other books that uses good verbal explainations about weaknesses in positions, planning etc.
There are a lot of annotated books, but I think most of them only contains variations and light explaination about the complete plan and not as detailed as in Plan Like a Grandmaster.
Those who know Plan Like a Grandmaster hopefully knows what I am searching for!
