cheap chess set

Hi,

I am looking a cheap chess set that can be bought online and shipped to Canada.

I want to use it anywhere and wear it so I don't want to pay much for it. I've seen ''tournament chess set'' with the green squares on ebay wich you can unfold on a table, this is the kind of set I look for but I would prefer a smaller board than the tournament size.

Any idea?

If you want a tournament-style set in a smaller format, what you are looking for is an "analysis set".

Please check your PM. I have a nice foldup wood board & pieces I will give you for free. All I ask is that you pay for shipping. The King height is 2 1/4 inches. I have no clue as to what shipping costs to Canada from The USA will be though. I will have to check that out with the local post office.

You might also consider a small folding/magnetic chess set, although these will cost more than an inexpensive plastic set and a vinyl roll-up board.  The advantages are that there is much more variety of selection and a greater ease of transport.
