Chess Mouse

What is the best mouse for online chess? I am currently finding it difficult with the mouse that I have to play blitz and bullet, because my mouse sometimes slips and/or doesn't click fast enough. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm in the same boat, but I have a lagging touchscreen, and I disconnect sometimes. There's nothing more frustrating than losing a game to something like that. Some practical advice, stay away from bullet or play at least 5 min or with an increment. And try not to get in time scrambles! I lose about 9 out of 10 of those when neither side is immediately winning.

Wired Razer mice are the top of the line for twitch gamers so I figure they should be pretty good for blitz and bullet games.  They are kind of expensive and have all kinds of buttons you probably won't need but they do click and move fast without lag.

I have a gaming mouse from "SteelSeries" callled "Rival 100".

Its wired so there won´t be any disconnection problems as from wireless mouses. It works fine, maybe a bit small.

Make sure you have a good mouse pad also.

Now if only my brain was as fast as my mouse......

Thanks everyone for the suggestions!

I really like the logitech marble-mouse. Its actually a track ball instead of a mouse, so you can move a piece from one side of the board to the other with just one move of one finger, instead of the whole wrist (plus thumb clicks, of course). I never understood why most people preferred mice over this, and even carried one around with me to use on different machines, such as the local city chess club when I was directing, but its becoming moot with touch screens taking over everything now...

I had a sort of half touchpad half mouse for a while, but found it impossible to play fast time controls.

@mocl125, any mouse that is fully a mouse works! I tried so many mouses and they all work for me very well. If my advice doesn't help, please don't take my advice. I'm sorry if my advice doesn't help.

Would you suggest a wired, wireless, or bluetooth mouse?

They will all work fine but it depends how serious you are about playing.

Wired mouse is best cause there may be problems with battery or interference with the other options sometime during a game.

I use a Logitech G300s gaming mouse and it has good performance, its a wired mouse so its very responsive. Has a bunch of settings and buttons to make quick setting changes.

Of course also important is the computer and internet speed, and the size of your monitor. A bigger monitor with an upscaled board makes it easier for you to throw/snap the pieces to the square you want in bullet and lessen "mouse slip" mistakes.

When it comes to Bullet play, a decent typical gaming rig would serve you best.

Also some sites are slicker and faster for bullet play. *cough* berserk tournament arena *cough*.

I'm pretty sure I heard chessbrah say he uses a Logitech series mouse also.

Try to create holes in the opposition camp and place little pieces of cheese on your opponent's king.
