I'm spanish, and I'm not so sure that it is "Palma de Mallorca", but "Las Palmas de Gran Canaria"

"las Plamas" is a different island far away from Mallorca.

A very nice looking chess set. Maybe there were only 25-50 sets made? That could account for them not popping up now & then on the Net.

Right! This set is mad only fpr this Tournament, I guess. Because of this, is very very rare.
I have a very close copy, (German one) with some similarities to this set of Las Palmas Gran Canaria. The pawns, the Queen, The Bishop, and the Rook...only the Knight is diferent.
I will post pictures of this set.
And I appreciate any help, mainly of Spanish chess friends !
This set is so rare, so fascinatingly hidden, that I never discovered it, nor in chess collectors nor on individual photos or ebay, nothing!
And... is a chess set of my dreams! ( I have a German set, with some similarities, but isn't the Palma Spanish Set!).
