I'd like to be able to look through chess games while soaking in the bath, cooking a meal, lying in bed, and other situations where it is inconvenient to be either sat in front of a computer or holding a portable device e.g. iPad. I need to be able to navigate moves, and possibly games, with a remote control or, even better, completely hands-off by voice or gesture. Can anyone advise how I can set this up at reasonable cost? Is it even possible? (Surely, in this day and age...) Thanks.

It could only be done with a variety of devices, IMO. For the bath, it would be great to have a floating chessboard with floating pieces. The pieces should be immune to the board vibrations. Could look like this:

Sounds like a servant would suit your needs.

From what I understand, they are pretty good at voice commands. They could hold your books...turn the pages. However, I'm not sure about the cost of a servant. They could also perform other tasks like making pancakes in the morning.
