Chessconnect: a free chrome extension for electronic chessboards

Jörn - Tested the app last night on the other site with my Chessup 2 on a Motorola Edge 2024 (Android 14) phone and Galaxy Tab S7+ (Android 13). Worked every well, no issues on either device.
Will move on to more devices/boards over the weekend - Chessup 1, Chessnut Pro, Air, and Go, and my others.
Google Play Store says it is available on my Pixel tablet which I am amazed at it working on it. Will pull that out and test it next week.
Amazing work.

Quite weird considered that among the newest, it is the one with maybe the coolest idea but the worst realization... Having Chessconnect support it would only be a benefit for them

Start to test Chessnut and Certabo... I'm very happy to announce that it works well for now...
-wow-

Hi, I have the Mephisto Phoenix and the extra paid on Chessconnect. My issue is when I play the bots on Chess.com, the app pretty much all the time, asks if I want to connect to ChessConnect.
I'll confirm yes, then try to play a bot, and it's rinse and repeat - any ideas please?

@joernupbde Just installed the new non-beta version. It works, but you might want to know that it has skipped move notification a couple of times during my last 25 moves game. I guess, timing issues again, maybe you have to increase the delay a little bit more.
It might be just one time, though, I'm not entirely sure I just missed the second because I was busy kissing my daughter goodnight

Hi Jörn, my DGT3000 still isn't working with the Android app. It is paired to a Smartboard. Just thought I'd let you know. This was on chess.com. I see there is no option to state which side of the board it is on.
Thanks.

@GeorgeGoodnight: Maybe you missed that the settings page is scrollable and you have the setting still on "No clock"?

Oh, yes. I just assumed it was the bottom of the page because I saw the OK button. Well, thanks for that.

I wanted the ok button to be always visible so people don't forget to click it. I am really not got at GUI design.

You more than make up for it in other ways! I get your logic though. It's a potentially frustrating experience if you forget to click OK. I wasn't having a dig by the way.

What about an automatic save each time you change a setting?

Just played two blitz games with Android app and the clock was perfect. I did have the last move announcement and the end of game announcement overlapping, in all other respects all was well. Thanks.
Hello Jörn
First of all, thank you very much for your great tool. As a long-time developer, I appreciate your immense effort.
But now to my question. I use a DGT Smartboard with a DGT Pi. Does the DGT clock only display the moves or also the time? Otherwise the Chessconnection works perfectly for me on all my devices (Linux, Mac OSX and Windows).
Many thanks and greetings from Berlin
Johann

It also displays the time, albeit there is a little flicker for the very first seconds before you start.

Hi, it should display the time until the opponent makes his move and then it displays the move until you move the piece on the board. Not sure if that helps.
Hi George, thank you for your very fast answer.
No, I see only the move. I play on Lichess against MAIA5-Bot with timecontrol. I will try to play again a Bot on chess.com. But not today. You will hear from me on weekend to report the result of my test.
Bye - Johann

Okay Johann. I'll go and fire up MAIA5 and see what happens. I'll report back.
