Amazing how an chess engine built into an aging educational software can still hold up after all this time.

I ran chessmaster 11 on a Ryzen 5 laptop 6core 12thread 2.1 ghz cpu through elometer and at 1 second per move it belted out a rating of 2400 elo. I rounded down to the nearest 50. Those of us who played chessmaster on the nes remember waiting about 45 minutes per move to get 2200. Now before people get huffy about elometer I'll say this... The sample of previous participants is STATIC. So if I do this again a year from now it will still be 2400. Also computer results from elometer are significantly more accurate than human results because regardless of circumstances the computer will make the same move whether it's in a real game or doing puzzles. Humans are not nearly as consistent.
