thank you very much for your quick reply. Exactly the video I mean (May 2022) and the user there was able to play against a bot without the hint I mentioned popping up. It doesn't work for me, probably it would be best if someone with a Chessnut Air would try it once as well.

Alternative way to play with Maia bot on Lichess with Chessnut Air - find “bot Maia9” on Lichess and activate “Follow” option. After that use WhitePawn app, connect it to Chessnut Air and choose “Lichess”, then “Opponent” - and you will find “Maia9” in your friends list.

If I try it this way, I only can choose a "Random Stranger"
I have no problem playing maia bot when I search for her via the lichess integration on chessnut.

that's really funny.
The described way works via WhitePawn ... but what FranzBrandwein writes does not work for me. As soon as I select "Lichess" via the Chessnut App and there "Community", I get the message "The game cannot be played with an e-board due to Lichess's restriction" and I can select a bot, but not play on the board. Strange.
I don't select "community" just start chessnut app, select online and lichess. On top of the screen beside your name is the search icon. There type maia1 or 5 or 9.
Sorry, doesn‘t work for me. Log in Chessnut-Online-Lichess-Search - Maia1 - „This cannot be played Blabla“.
I have just recreated your problem with an iPad. So it seems to be an ios problem because on my Android device it runs fine.

This works perfect! Does this method work for the other bots on lichess as well? If yes does anyone have any bot recommendations?

can someone please explain me briefly how I can play with the Chessnut Air on Lichess against a Maia bot?
I have connected the board to Lichess via the app and as soon as I click on "Community" the message appears, "The game cannot be played with an e-board due to Lichess's restriction". I have seen videos from May where a Maia bot could be selected via this path Community - Online Bots.
What am I doing wrong
