DGT North American Setting

Hi folks,

I am sure this has been asked somewhere but I can't find it. I just bought a DGT north american and I simply want to set it for the "standard" Fide time controls for the Tuscon Open in Jan 2017. The time control is 40/90 G/30 + 30sec.  So can confirm if I am doing it right? I use mode 16:

first time control: 1:30 time, 40 moves, +30 sec increment

second time control: 0:30 time

3rd and 4th time control: 0 time

If not please tell me how to set it. If it is right then I understand what exactly the time control means........

I just got the clock a few weeks ago and haven't had much time to review it but that appears right to me. Have fun in the tournament!

I just purchased the DGT NA and was trying to figure out how to set it for this exact time control (40/90, SD/30, +30 second increment) which is used by the National Open. A quick Google search unearthed instructions for setting the DGT North American chess clock by Senior TD Chris Y Kim.

Interestingly, the instructions recommend NOT setting the move counter. I've always feared the need to (re)-set the move counter during a tournament. But as I think about it, it makes sense for the clock to ignore the move counter, as the official record of moves are the players' scoresheets.
