Do you know this set?

I bought today this very nice set. It seems from high quality. Metal, originally with a stronger golden and silver patina. The seller said that it is perhaps  from Spain, as the guy who sold the set to him was from this country.  Every piece is punch punchmarked. I was surprised about the  price, only 140 dollars.

It is interesting to know how old these chess are? With a wonderful replenishment of your chess collection!

Thanks guys. Yes, they are probably well–crafted. I don’t have much experience with metal sets. I never saw a set in which every piece is punchmarked. I guess that a specialist would be able to tell what this punch means. I am asking myself if the metal is silver.

Can you take better pics of the hallmarks on the bottoms?

I've seen on www sets like this while researching Dubrovnik chess set. This is "wmf chess set". Of course I do not knew is this original or reproduction.

The stamping on the bottoms look to be repros. originals have 1/10 stamped on them. I could be wrong .  It is a cool set that I would of snagged for that price.

The box looks old, perhaps even 19th century or early 20th. It is sure not a modern reproduction.

The pieces are identical, but with another dimensions. The king there is 7cm, my is 5,5. The board here 35 cm, my is 31,5.

The box should have a stamp WMF 1/10 on the bottom.

There is nothing on the bottom.

Nice, not really my taste, but nice design. I still have to find out what the stamps on my pieces mean. Did someone find something?

Today I used a strong magnifier and could decider the stamp under the pieces.

The stamp is the same as used by WMF, that means that the set is WMF! The numbers are I / 0 with an ostrich.

I cannot believe that I have such a set and for this price!

I / O means silver plated 1g per 1 square dm.

This stamp was used from 1903 to 1910.

Does somebody else have a similar set?
