Famous Chess Games as Visual Art

I was idly searching Etsy for chess paraphernalia (and eyeing off the pieces that simply must be off the same manufacturing lines as House of Staunton) when I stumbled across the store "Immortal Games".

The artist has taken famous games and then mapped the moves into visual, abstract art and, to be perfectly frank, I instantly fell in love with the pieces for sale. Beth, who runs the store, will also do custom prints for personal games. (Now I just need to play one good enough).

Here are two of my favourites:

Morphy:

Deep Blue v Kasparov:

There are bunches more there.  Prints, mugs etc.  I have also requested that HD images are sold to be used as desktop backgrounds.

No, I don't have an affiliation with the artist / seller... But, I just loved this stuff so much that I

a) thought surely others here would too; and

b) instantly wanted to support the artist.

If you do and you want more, here are the urls:

An interesting concept, and one that may be improved on, should a less minimalistic effect be desired.

Yeah! That mug is definitely in my Etsy "wishlist" for a future purchase.
