Fritz/Chessbase explanation for Dummies

Okay so I looked at Fritz 15 on Amazon.com.  I am confused about what it is and why I need it.  Specifically:

1.  Is it a program that I can play chess against and also will teach/train/coach me on how to play better?  If so, how is this different from the analysis tools I already get here on chess.com?

2.  Are these "Fritz Trainer" videos and such on Amazon.com designed to somehow work with Fritz 15? None seem to indicate that Fritz software is a pre-requisite.  However I glean from these forums that they are designed to somehow integrate.

3.  If the trainers are integrated, are they compatible with Fritz 15? I hear that in 15 "the whole engine was redesigned".

4.  Differences between Chessbase 14 and Fritz 15?  The chessbase website isn't very clear on its software strategy or training program.  Or rather, it's just not intuitive to me personally.

Thanks in advance for your help.
