Golden Castle Mikado Set, Made in Occupied Japan

I recently was fortunate to find this smallest of the Golden Castle line. The Made in Occupied Japan disclosure was required by treaty, and dates the set from 1949-1952. The pieces are excellent miniatures of the exquisite Craftsman pieces, which themselves are copies of the 1900 Jaques pieces, as I've posted elsewhere on this forum.

An exquisite piece of art! It puts some tournament size sets to shame.

The Craftsman king is 3.5". Here is the Golden Castle Master set's kings are 3.0". The unique feature of this set is that each side has two different knights.

And this is a 1900 Jaques large club set that the Golden Castle line replicates...
