The Art of Attack in Chess--Vukovich
It's about attacking the castled position. Google it and see if it suits you.
Not an advanced text but it may be too much for you right now.

Don't know about "The Art of Attack" not being an advanced text, I'm rated around 1500 Fide and I find it tough going. I am getting a lot out of it though, it's just hard sometimes to follow all the variations. I'd recommend it, but not if you're starting out or have problems calculating two-move mates.
Attack with Mikhail Tahl By Tahl & Damsky is an excellent little book. It's a collection of Tahl's combinations arranged by chapers based on, for example, sac's on f7, attacks on the uncastled K, etc. with very good notes. Of course not all of Tahl's sac's were 100% correct but that does not detract from it's instructional value. All in all a very fun and informative little book.
Yasser Seirawan's Winning Chess series has some good books on attacking. Winning Chess Tactics has some good attacking patterns although it may tend towards the "cheapo". Winning Chess Strategy has a whole chapter on King attacks although if you only want to learn about the Mating attack you'd be better off with Winning Chess Combinations which is entirely about attacking the King.
I have Winning Chess Tactics, Strategies, and Combinations already. I am not just starting out and I have no problems calculating quick mates. I liked the theme of Winning Chess Combinations, so that's the kind of book I'm looking for; something about King attacks and combinations.
Do you know of any? I'm looking for instructional books that will show you how to effectively develop and execute an attack. (Without having to rely on the three-move cheapo.) Any suggestions?
