I remember a book from years ago called '40 lessons for the club player'' its a cracking read, and i think its still in print. That would be my recomendation mate :-)

A combination of http://www.chesstactics.org/ and Tactics Trainer, has raised my score 100-200 points and still climbing :-)
I'm a 1200 to 1270 player I want to reach the 1300's what is a good book for my level?
