I recently read that there are enough mobile devices for everyone to have more than two each, and nearly enough smart phones for one each.
That got me thinking about chess sets. Given their 1000-year+ head start on mobile phones, I wonder if there are more of them. Probably fewer. I don't really have any idea though.
Any guesses on how many?
