Is this chess set good for blitz?

And one more thing:I was wondering in this chess set are the pieces too big compared to the squares?

Yeah plastic for blitz is best plus the set only weighs 40 ounces the set I have weighs just short of 4 pounds....go for some more weight.

I wouldn't play blitz with a wooden set or board, they are nice to be subjected to the rough and tumble of Blitz.  I pretty much agree with joeydrive.   The standard test for the proper proportions between board squares and piece size, is that 4 pawns should exactly fit on a square.

It's a great board for blitz if you don't mind a few chips here and there.

Well, I play blitz with a wooden board at the local chess center and it's just fine. I think a bit of an exaggeration on the size of the squares, though. Four pawns a piece? That's pretty big.
