Looking for Board Recommendation

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a specific style of board and am hoping you may able to help. I would like to buy a board which fits the following criteria:

  • 2.25" squares
  • A slightly raised frame, which is wooden and brown
  • Yellowy / Brownish colour scheme

So for example I would like squares like this: Italian Antiqued Ochre Chess Board – Official Staunton, but I don't like the black frame on this board. I'd prefer a frame more akin to this 1849 Cooke Chessmen, Solid Wood Framed Chessboard & Mahogany Box – Official Staunton

I've seen a number of genuine antique boards online, e.g. here and here but these are simply too expensive, and I expect much of their price comes from being their age! I'd be perfectly happy with a completely new board, but just in this style. Does anyone know of any being sold online?

Jaques used to sell one but no longer your best bet is probably used market.
Are there chess shops in Wales?
You might find one NOS?
I have two Jaques maple sycamore from 2005ish. I actually hounded Jaques now no more. So best to you
Start going to boot sales. I like that OS one would trade for it if it weren’t for the Atlantic Ocean. Good luck 🤞🏻

I recommend to check out makers of custom solid wood chess boards on ETSY.

In particular these makers have received good reviews on Chess.com forums...

ColoradoWoodWorker (Brad Borkowski - ETSY - USA)...

You can check out the board that CWW made for me (my post of 10 March 2017) here...

No.  Just the board by CCW (Brad Borkowski) which I posted a photo of in my comments immediately above (#3)...
