I bought that exact set from chess4less about two months ago. I think I bought the last one because the next day it was no longer on the website. It was the only place I found one for sale. I probably payed more than I should've for a plastic set though. ($42ish I think with shipping) I've yet to play with it other than for analysis. I'm really pleased with it and it looks great with one of those faux wooden mousepad boards. Email American Chess Equipment and ask when he will be getting them back in stock. He usually answers email pretty promptly. Good luck on finding one.
Looking for Bobby Fischer® Series Cavalier Black and Camel Plastic Chessmen or similar

@ChessCatKitty -
I recommend this new plastic set - Ultimate Chess Pieces - from the same seller, American Chess Equipment, as for the Bobby Fischer Cavalier set you are asking about (which is currently sold out).....
The Ultimate is a very good set (I recently purchased it)....I doubt that you would be disappointed with it.....it is triple weighted and handles/plays, extremely well - solid and stable. If you are not completely satisfied I'm positive that Shelby Lohrman (owner of the site) would promptly refund your money...he has an excellent reputation for service, and will do what it takes to ensure his customers' satisfaction...

A final "point". The recent, first shipment of the new (Version 3.0) Ultimate sets arrived at AmChessEq less than a month ago from China. Some of the Knights (mine included) exhibited a very small, sharp point on the tip of the Knight's mane. I (as well as others - from commentary in the forums - who experienced the same issue) used a fine file or nail file to smooth down the point (similar to filing your finger nails). That resolved the problem easily, with minimal effort.

where are you located? I was searching for one and just today paid for one set but i believe there's another. I'll be picking up my set the day after tomorrow. when I get it I can upload pictures

It is tough to find these days. Might find the original Cavalier 1967 set on ebay but expect to pay quite a bit more.
CB did a wood version of the original Cavalier set. This could be an option. Of course it is sold out at this moment,
I know that this Kings Indian set isn't the modern Cavalier set but the Knight sorta reminds me of a Knight from the modern Cavalier set. Just more of a Zagreb look Cavalier Knight is what it looks like to me.
The bases are similar as well. Me personally I think that the Kings Indian set is a better set.
Chess Equipment by Legend Products
I know that the site is kind a clunky and outdated but you can still order and it will get to you.
You can get this set in Black and Natural. You just have to note it when completing the order. Good luck on you chess set hunting adventure.

I am looking for another Bobby Fischer® Series Cavalier Black and Camel Plastic Chessmen with 3 3/4 inch king – Triple Weighted set. Every place I have checked seems to be sold out. Does anyone know if this set has been discontinued? Or is maybe sold out right now due to the holidays? Can anyone recommend a similar looking set? I am basically looking for a set that has the following features: the King to have a cross on top of his crown, the Queen to have 8 points on her crown, the Bishop to have the typical V marking, and the Rook to have 4 notches on top. I know it's a bit specific looking for such features but the set I had when younger and learning about chess had such, so it's just a nostalgic thing for me.
Do you have any photos or links to reference? Not being familiar with the set and from your description I managed to find this. Is that anywhere near close?

I am pretty sure that is correct. Shelby Lohrman unfortunately named the set the (Bobby Fischer) "Cavalier" after the original Cavalier set produced by Pacific Games Co. back in the 1960-1990 time frame, and which has long since gone out of production. The only correlation between the two sets is that the Knight of the Bobby Fischer Cavalier set resembles the Knight of the Pacific Games Co. original. Otherwise the Bobby Fischer set appears to have been a good set, which you apparently know.
The Pacific Games Cavalier sets were produced in several models, the primary difference being the type of plastic used for each model. The early sets used a cheaper (IMO poor) quality plastic. Eventually the company produced the now iconic #1491 Cavalier set made of a very high quality plastic. I bought a #1491 set in 1989, which I still own. In my opinion it is the overall best plastic set ever made in terms of design, aethetics and quality of material (plastic). Of course there are those who don't share my opinion, but I stand by it.
The following blog article of mine contains several photos of a Pacific Games #1491 Cavalier set (scroll to the bottom of the article)...

Shelby Lohrman had sold his Bobby Fischer Cavalier set on American Chess Equipment, WE Games and also on Amazon. The model is apparently no longer being offered...

ChessBazaar had recently offered a knock-off of the Pacific Game Co. Cavalier Set in boxwood, but it is apparently not currently available...
House of Staunton has offered (not certain if it is currently available) a very nice reproduction, in boxwood, of the original Pacific Game Co. design Cavalier set. They call it the "Capablanca"...
https://www.houseofstaunton.com/the-capablanca-series-luxury-pieces-4-king.html
Frank Camaratta is offering several used Pacific Game Co. Cavalier sets in the ok, but IMO "less desirable" #1498 "Alabasque" plastic (i.e., not the #1491 set), for what I consider to be exorbitant prices. If you absolutely must have a Pacific Game Co. Cavalier set and are willing to pay a stiff price for it, I would suggest to wait for the iconic, rare, highest quality and more desirable #1491 set to appear on eBay (when they do appear, they're sold fast!).

I am located in the USA. Does the place you found your set at ship here?

The set you posted is similar but not quite the same.

If you can't find that set in particular. Would you consider looking at the Kings Indian set from Legend Products? Next to the set you are looking for. It could be a viable alternative if you are unable to find one.

Everyone has posted a lot of good info and links! A lot of those sets are very similar. The two specific features I am looking for are missing from some of them though. That being that the Queen have 8 points on her crown and that the Rook has 4 notches (crenels). Maybe I can just hope the Bobby Fischer® Series Cavalier Black and Camel Plastic Chessmen comes back in stock at one of the shops or that I can find an individual selling one on ebay or such. Please keep posting other suggestions though, as there still might be something out there that "fills the bill" that I do not know about.

Yes, I would consider the Kings Indian set. I did save the link for it. Thanks! By the way, does the set come with 2 extra queens?

I can ask him tomorrow that I'll be picking up my chess pieces.

@ChessCatKitty Yes the Kings Indian set does have extra Queens. If you don't mind wooden sets. House of Chess has a set called Popular Staunton. I have their 3.75 inch version in Ebonized Boxwood. Very nice and an excellent price for them as well.

So I went today for my pieces but i don't think they are the exact ones you are looking for (no extra queens and no branding anywhere) there is another set but one customer took the black ones with another set and the guy is tracking him down so he can give his customer the right ones. He says he doesn't ship internationaally but i could do it if you feel comfortable. The set is 750 pesos which is like 40 dlls. Sincerely I think the legend indian king that the other poster recommended is the better value as it comes with extra queens and it looks awesome. Maybe I should get it if they ship down the border

Not the best picture but here's what the Kings Indian set looks like in Black and Camel.
The Bishop's head reminds me of a light blub The Rooks have 6 cuts instead of 4 cuts. Some parts of this set reminds me of another Drueke plastic set. Mainly the Bishops, Rooks, Pawns.

Thank you! I will check out the Popular Staunton set too.

Thank you for posting the picture. That set is similar to the Bobby Fischer Cavalier set but as you noted, the Rook has more notches. The fact that it doesn't have extra queens too is kind of disheartening. The Legend Indian King set might be the way for me to go.
