I would be very glad when I understood what you ment to say...
According to my dictionary merging is combining ( even gradually ) two things ( two moves here ) so as to become a single thing ( one move ).
Where will the black pawn be placed ?

This depends on the software used. I use HIARCS, it has a simple "Merge with current game" menu entry.

thank you, the HIARCS program was perfect. I use scid, i wonder if there is an option for that in there...
Say I have a game
1.e4 e5 ...
and another
1.e4 d5
How can i merge these two games into one game, were the
differences will be added as a variation?
like
1. e4 e5 (1..d5)
