New Official Play Magnus Chess Set

I wonder if the new chess game app they released means the gears are turning again at Magnus HQ.
The (old??) Official PlayMagnus chess piece set being prominently displayed, front and center on the commentators podium during the Aimchess US Rapid. The last online tourney before the Finals of Meltwater Champions Chess Tour.
Chess24.com merged with Carlsen's PlayMagnus company 2 years ago.
I guess things are still being negotiated... I'll leave it at that.
It's a very recognizable set.
I remember when the official PlayMagnus set was still sold in retail. Not a lot of buzz or feedback which meant underwhelming acceptance or even disappointment. The set has been out of production for three years now, and they are very hard to come by in the secondary market.
@ifekali's set will have plenty of buzz, I imagine.

Still no news since the playmagnus ad went down 
and @ifekali has been radio silent on all his social channels. Hope he's doing alright.

I guess the "New Official Play Magnus Chess Set" became yet another victim of corporate decision making as the Play Magnus group doesn't appear to want to be a manufacturer/distributor of chess sets. Izmet was so very excited when he created this thread but hasn't been online here since Dec. 2021. I do hope he's well but I wonder if he felt so burned by the experience that he's bailed on all things chess? It's very sad since his designs are so beautiful but seem to now be made of pure unobtanium.
I have contacted him as recently as 2 months ago regarding purchasing some 4-piece, magnetic BCE boards he designed. He responded, saying they are out of stock. He didn't elaborate. So he is alive. Just not here on the CB&E forum... as often.
I'm really disappointed that set hasn't come to fruition. I would have bought one for sure, as a big fan of the BCE design.
I hope Izmet is well, though, we do miss him on this forum!

Well that's unfortunate. I was looking forward to this myself.
Oh well. Will just have to keep an eye out for the next special set with a world champion's name on it.

What really sucks is that he can't 3D print them. Since he sold the design to Play Magnus.

Horrible. Never sell. License for a fixed time period (with failure-to-produce clauses). Hindsight.

Is this actually what happened?
The New Magnus chess set seems a copy from Noj chess series.
