Thank you, everyone. I hope you enjoy the books!
Novels with chess themes

Yeah, it's pretty enjoyable...enough to get me to buy the second in the series which I haven't yet started. Kudos.

@Krames, Wow, I don't think a better review is possible! Thanks so much! I'm very glad you enjoyed it! I remember an Amazon review where someone else said it was a perfect beach read. I wonder if they were in the Bahamas too? Thanks again and enjoy your vacation!

@lotsoblots, I 'm glad you liked the first book enough to buy The Grandmaster's King. That's always a positive review! Thank you for your support!

@Krames, thank you! I am happy with the series and glad you're liking them as well. Being able to put my passions of writing and chess together was something I'd always wanted to do. Thanks again for your support!

Lets talk about your choice of the set Ray wanted for the board his buddy made him . . . Is that your ultimate set, your dream set?

It was at the time, and I still like the look of it. It's classic Staunton with fantastic knights, big rooks, and the deep cuts in the bishop miters. That style just screams "chess".
Do you have a favorite style?

Thanks, Krames. I enjoy different styles from all over as well, the NOJ Minceta is a particular favorite. But yes, the Collectors series is a classic that will never go out of style. Thanks again for all your support!

Isaac Asimov's Pebble in the Sky isn't based on chess but a chess game is used as an important plot element. Here is the game. It features a Ruy Lopez (Spanish Game) opening.
Awesome! I just purchased Even Dead Men Play Chess now. Looking forward to it!
