Tim Sawyer has written several books and I happened to stumble upon his “Alekhine….1…Nf6 book. It is like looking at a database and every variation goes anywhere from 5-10 moves deep. It follows the main line and hits the side variations well. Sometimes you have to shuffle a few pages to get the position/ move order you are looking for. I have had this book for about a month and I already know the main ideas and moves. I even beat a 1950 player using this system. This will probably be the first opening book I fully read or even fully understand. I’ve been playing chess for over 10 years and this is why I recommend this author in his works. Hope this helps.

I might add, using studying strategies such as looking for common ideas and key moves throughout the texts helped a lot. It is very visual and easy for visual learners as well.
