Dubrovnik pawns are too chunky to go 4 to a compartment, so I had to double up the Queens as well...
Do you place a Boveda pack in there too to control humidity? Thats a beautiful sett btw.

No, I haven’t - I’ve never had problems with humidity, but maybe I should do that?

I really dont know. Im trying to gather as much info I can.
Nothing special, I just wanted a great seal on an inexpensive box but built to last, there was the Plano. It had to hold one complete 4.4" club set with extra queens. Sorry for the Amateurish picture.
Thanks for the picture, wiscmike. I have a Russian set from CB that has smaller Kings than yours, but won’t fit because the Bishop and Knight are too tall to stand up. I’m thinking about taking some measurements and seeing if they’ll fit in two of the 3700s, not deep, one for the white and one for black. But judging by PhillipTheTank’s picture in post 7 I’m not sure that will work either. Also wondering if a library sized set, both sides, might fit into a 3700. We’ll see...
I simply love this idea for chess set storage. A special shout out to TundraMike and Eyechess for enlighting me to use these boxes for storage of both wood and plastic chess sets. I have half my collection stored in them. Mostly Plano 3700 model and a few Magreel 3700 as well in a darker smoke-tinted box. Some Plano boxes are also colored in smoke-tinted boxes. I like the look, and I label all the boxes with post-its to describe the box contents. Here are some images of how I have arranged the sets. What is showing is 3 sets. A clear Plano box with a BCE Stage 1 3D printed set from Ifkali, A Romanian Tournament set and a Tal set from RCM. The Romanian is in the Magreel tinted box and the Tal in the Plano tinted box. By the way, the Tal set was too big to include divider so I just nestled them comfortably amongst the 4 horizontal rows of the box. By the way, I will be purchasing a bunch of these very soon,
Plano 3700 series DEEP PROLATCH STOWAWAY 4-15 adjustable compartments.
14"L x 9.13"W x 3.25"H . Thank you TundraMike once again for the link to these great boxes!

FYI.
Jorge what the weight like in the BCE Stage 1 3D ?
Great storage idea's too bro.
The Blitz set comes in at 32.39 ozs. for 34 chess pieces. Nice for Blitz games. I will be purchasing the deeper Plano 3700 to store the rest of my collection soon. They're great for storage.
@mvk20, thank you for starting this thread. It has great information! I am looking for economical chess piece storage so this piece came in handy!

My apologies EG3 for not replying to your inquiry back on April 18th of this year.
The 3D pritned BCE Blitz set comes in @ 32.83 ozs. it's actually slightly heavier than the wood version Noj crafts.
Just as a parting bit of information I've ordered 2 more 3D printed sets from Izmet Fekali.
Nothing fancy as far as material, Silky Black and Marble PLA material. They will be equipped with DGT enabled elements. I have only 2 DGT sets for my Bluetooth DGT chessboard. A timeless set that came with the board and the new light brown stained DGT enabled BCE Stage 1 Western Blitz set from Noj.
This will be a great fall/winter/spring upcoming season for playing chess indoors when I get my 2 tables constructed and shipped to my residence.
By that time I'll be long done posting here...FYI.
The more nice stuff you have, the more likely you’ll keep posting advice and sharing pics here.
It’s a thing.
Perhaps, but only to a certain few who message me privately. I won't post anymore takes or new equipment on any public open forums, anymore.
As it generates too much "drama" between the masses when some aren't in agreement with certain aspects of the posted topic.
I've grown weary of reading the nonsense so it's best to just look in here and there, silently. It's just my personal choice and the only gripe I've had is with the powers that be and a few returning trolls.
As they say in Spanish "Basta" or Stop it, or in Italian "Smettila" also meaning Stop It...when it comes to these petty and dumb face/pride saving arguments and disagreements.
So good luck to everyone very soon and keep on, keeping on.
Took me 20+ years to learn how develop a noise filter using my eyes and be able to focus on the conversations within the same thread. As a chess player you should know when not to take the poisoned pawn.
The reason why I like forums is because it allows people to chime in and add to the discussion. On occasion I’ve even looked into the ideas of the contrarians and gained from it. New sites, better prices, better quality, deals and sales.
