Oh yeah don't worry I didn't spend this much on a book, YET I managed to buy this particular book couple of days ago , brand new, hardcover , 1980 first edition in English. The only thing about my original book is, that my book "jacket", which means paper cover got a bit tanned, yellowish instead of pure white, but that's normal because so much time passed.
$$$ Probably my most expensive book in my collection $$$

Considering what Progress Publishers sold books for in 1980, those prices are pretty funny.
Well yes, but that's 30 years ago let's not forget, anyway i still agree price is rediceless

Some booksellers respond opportunistically to blog entries or enquiries, their prices moving briefly skyward before returning to reality, presumably some people buy at the hugely inflated prices. This morning there is this, at USD45, which I think is still terribly expensive: https://www.abebooks.com/servlet/BookDetailsPL?bi=22921087169&searchurl=bi%3Dh%26ds%3D5%26sortby%3D17%26tn%3Ddomination%2B545%2Bendgame%2Bstudies%26an%3Dghenrikh%2Bkasparyan&cm_sp=snippet-_-srp1-_-title1
Have you ever seen such a price on a book !?
I only have one question : WHY? Can someone explain price of this item ?
