I want to begin reading chess books.

Would you recommend getting physical books or can i get the kindle books.

I use my Kindle a lot, but not sure if it would be worth it, if the book has diagrams etc?

Hi, Preferably go for a book. I have seen many kindly versions omit diagrams which actually are very beneficial if you're just going to start. happy.png

Most Kindle books allow you to download a free sample of a couple of chapters.

Download some chess book samples and see how they look to you.

Kindle books can be frustrating to some people.  Many cases of diagrams being on one page while the text they refer to on another page.  That seems to be the primary issue with them.  Also, for Kindle openings books in particular, searching/browsing around to locate lines/passages/items of interest is a pain in the you-know-what.  With a physical book, navigating to passages of interest is a much easier, less time-consuming process.  For those reasons primarily, I don't care for the experience of reading Kindle chess books - just too frustrating.
