I could not resist a photo when I saw this reflection …
… walking back into the room at a different angle from where I was studying. 👍

Lovely @ungewichtet 👍 enough light to see the silhouette but enough darkness to keep the intrigue.

After a long journey from the West Coast, the Ultimate v2 "butters" have found their forever home. They get played with too... I tried to tinker with the canyon lighting outside, camera filters, and log cabin feel. Other more experienced folks make this kinda stuff look easy!?

Rustic chess anyone??!

A long journey from outer space to your hospitable cabin! Opposing a pyramid and a churn, like chess with the maker. Or just a flower pot on a folding table-and a game home against the world through the window happy.png

These wooden pieces almost looked like plastic pieces when I walked past the table earlier. Perhaps it’s the contrast of the TV light in the background?

Wow, beautiful! What chess set is this? I thought it was the Preston Series at first, but I see several differences with the set I got my wife a few years ago. Among other things, your knights look more refined and have more manes, the bishops don’t have sharp hats, your queen has a double crown, and the king doesn’t seem to have spheres on its finial, and has a multi-segmented head instead of the triangular head of the Preston set. I love the glossy finish as well!

Here’s a sunlit silhouette showing beautifully translucent pieces and a fine seem in the rook, which is near invisible in when not held up to the sun. And then a reflection by lamplight. 😊
