The box looks great but may be priced a bit high for storage boxes. Most players wont be looking to spend this much on a box.

Greetings Chess Friends,
I just finished this Spalted Maple Chess Storage Box and wanted you all to see. Spalted maple is beautiful and rare, highly prized by wood workers but it has its challenges. The wood can be hard in some spots and extremely soft in others. Overall though, I think this box turned out very well. I built in some of the features recommended by you! The box has individual slots for all the pieces, including pawns. As with all my boxes, it accommodates double-queens. It also has a 1/4" hardwood bottom that's inset for extra sturdiness and a popular green felt bottom on the interior. Slots will fit Kings with 1-5/8" bases, up to 4-3/4" tall; Queens with 1-7/16" bases; Bishops, Rooks, and Knights with 1-3/8" bases; and Pawns 1-1/8" wide. The outside bottom of the box is finished off with thick, wide pads to protect whatever the box is sitting on. Overall width is 12-1/2" x 9" deep and 6-1/2" tall and weighs 5.25 lbs. Be sure to check out Etsy.com/shop/FallingLeafChess for further details and pricing. As always, constructive comments are welcome. Thanks for your time.
