Following up on recent threads on Spanish sets, here are some shots of my four Spanish Knights. Each is distinctive.

Thanks Chuck for the great Spanish Knights shots. Your enthusiasm and love for chess sets is greatly appreciated by myself and I'm sure others collectors in these forums.

Thanks, Mike. And thank you for encouraging me to get active on Chess.com.

Studying these pictures makes me appreciate the statements of Alan Dewey and others about the variations in knights. I guess it stands to reason that when knights are carved by hand, variations are inevitable in each and every knight carved. Not even the same carver can duplicate exactly all of his cuts from before. It gives the pieces we play with a diversity akin to that among us as players. And it gives a certain ambiguity to the meaning of reproductions. Reproduction of what, exactly?

That is what makes these truly hand crafted pieces so special!  I love it!

Only machines are perfect (until they break).  Humans have character!

All those Knights look fine to me.! Being handcrafted you can expect small differences here & there. All the Knights are awesome. If the shipping was not so high, I would buy a set.
