Kt was used instead of N by some books. I am not aware of any usage of Qt.
The Art of Chess Combination Misprint?
I would have thought that queen-night would have been rendered as QKt instead of Qt, but, perhaps, the important issue here is that (for White) knight-to-knight-one might be used instead of queen-knight-to-queen-knight-one if the position is such that only one knight is able to move to the b1 square and no knight can move to the g1 square. By the way, in algebraic, bishop-to-queen-knight-six (for White) would be written as Bb6 instead of BD6, and bishop-to-queen-six (for White) would be written as Bd6 instead of BD6.
just picked this book up, and very new to descriptive chess.
in the very first example, Maroczy, G. vs Tartakower, S. | Teplitz-Schonau-1922, there is either a misprint or I'm very confused.
it says:
5. Kt - Kt1 (I believe this is actually move 26 in the game)
Wouldn't this be Qt - Qt1?
