I have the RCM set you are eyeing and it's really lovely, to look at and to play with. It looks dressy on a glossy ebony/maple board with 55cm squares and also sits nicelt on my more rustic 57cm Dubrovnik style repro board.
I wish they made an unweighted version but the weighting is pretty subtle.
A versatile and enjoyable set nonetheless.
I’m sure they would make an unweighted set if you asked.

I bought the weighted set before I realised I would rather the unweighted set. I am still happy with it.

There is a recently offerred version by The Indian Chess Co that looks very nice for a more than fair price. If I hadn't already a nice Oldset version I would have happily bought it!
Pretty nice, but Indian artisans never get the manes right for some reason. Ukrainian chess makers do. I haven’t seen Oldset’s version, but I imagine he produced authentic-looking knights. I would love to see photos if you have any!
