Thoughts on the millennium chess genius m810?

I was looking to buy one and was wondering if anybody has any experience with it. Is it worth $150? Would any of the lower priced chess computers ($50-$60 range) on Amazon work just as well? I’m pretty new to chess but enjoy using actual pieces. Should I just keep playing along side my iPad with a small set and call it good? Any opinions are appreciated.

You might ask this question at the HIARCS forum. There's plenty of chess computer enthusiasts there and Genius Millennium owners. If you're new to chess, the lower priced machines are probably fine. Using your iPad with a board also sounds fine, and affordable.
