does anyone have any recommendations on good attacking books? ive been wanting to improve this part of my game as its probably my weakest area. Ive been looking at alot of books on the subject, art of attack, attacking manual, attacking chess but im not sure which would be right for me. im not looking for a game collection of attacking games im look for a book that deals more on the aspects of attack what would some of you guys suggest?

TwoMove

Personally I like the two volumnes from Aagard from Quality chess called Attacking chess vols 1 and 2. The first one is more original in explaining how attacking positions are setup. The second one more conventional explaining of tactical devices once have an attacking position. Neither are easy books, but think worth putting effort in.

A lot of people like the older book "Attack with Tal" but found that one really hard going.

Art of Attack by Vuković is a great work covering the elements of attacking play. I also like how different attacking motifs get their own chapter in Attack with Mikhail Tal. Both of these require some serious time and effort (especially Vuković), but as TwoMove says, it's worth it if you want to improve.
