What chess set do you use?

GLASS chess sets? come on guys! glass chess sets are for people to put on their tables to LOOK like they play chess. a real chess sets looks like this:
When I join a chess club, I have every intention of getting one of those roll-up tournament sets and a proper chess clock. For now, however, the glass set, along with Chessmaster 10 and Fritz 10, will have to do.
Another set has caught my eye recently. It's a monstrous wooden (teak) folding set, with 4" squares and 8" kings. The pieces are a lot more nicely carved than the roughly hewn ones that accompany the chess table I was going to buy. Plus, this thing is slightly more portable than a table.

To each their own. Other than the afore mentioned vinyl regulation tournament set, I have no interest in buying a nice (read: fairly expensive) chess set with less than 15cm kings (15.24 - 20.32 cm. to be precise).

Me, I just have a basic Excaliber Travel chess Bag witch contains a basic roll out Bored...Pices that are about 2 1/2 inch doulbe weighted...I also have an Excaliber Digital chess clock, which I would have researced it more, because I find the standard Chess clock much more easy to use than my digital...

I Like the 3D Wodern chess set and board on chessBase on full Screen.
The chess pieces never get knocked over and also setting them up for a new game is very quick indeed.
I also have a plastic tournament chess set and folded mat board.
Also Collecting the Lord of the Ring Chess Set. Very expensive chess set

Jaques Staunton Tournament Chess Set. Plastic weighted tournament set. And a Lord of the Rings Trilogy Limited Edition set.
Love that Jaques quality

I have recently bought this set on holiday

anyone else notice that the person who took that picture set them up on the wrong sides... white is on 7 & 8...
This is a piece from my chess set
lol, just kidding. I wish it was, though. I do have a really nice set of the Greek and Roman gods, but we try not to play with that much. Every time we play with it, it breaks something, because it's really fragile. I usually use a really weird set that's mostly abstract shapes, so it's kind of confusing when I try to play. It does give me an advantage when I'm playing someone else, though. :) I'll try to get some pics online sometime soon.
