Thanks! What a coincidence. I replied to his comment on the other video where he saw this set (at https://youtu.be/q-0f4mpOTEQ?t=6050. It must be some common plastic set over there (in Russia).
There's an unfamiliar chess set shown in a recent game here between Eric Rosen and Dina Belenkaya. They're in Sochi, Russia, and the set certainly has an eastern look. Probably plastic since they're outside and the pieces don't seem very stable.
