Hey everyone, I just read a post here where a few people suggested Chernev’s “Logical Chess Move By Move” as a good first book. I’m curious....what would you suggest as a good 2nd book? Thanks in advance

Probably Yassers winning series. Start with the tactics.

i will go against the grain and will recommend bobby fischer’s “60 most memorable games”

if you take the time to play out moves on a board and really work to annotate and analyze as the game unfolds you will get tangible benefits

bobby fischer’s moves and games always seem “to make sense” and the way his pieces coordinate is really something

it is good to have master games to go over and you are going to want this book at some point

it would help even more if you were able to annotate and analyze and then couple with software analysis after everything

you may spend 6 months on a game but no one said it would be easy
