I have the Reproduction Dubrovnik 1950 from Staunton Castle and the knight design is just right for my taste -- smooth, simple design and easy to hold with the solid feel (actually all the pieces are).
That is a very nice set! I like those knights alot, the whole set is fantanstic!

Back home in the Philippines, we have what we called the deviled knights because they look like they have horns (supposedly erect ears). These special set are made of ultra hard wood we called Kamagong or Iron wood here in the US. I'd like to own one but this particular type I just can't afford when I was there. I searched for these somewhere and I found one on ETSY (but already sold). Here's a couple of pictures from Etsy.

Above is the out of production HOS Sheffield. Bought it because it reminded me of a horse my Dad used to own. Fairly intricate carving. Apparently the carver retired without adequately training a replacement and HOS got stuck with a bunch of flop eared or crosseyed nags so they discontinued it maybe 10 years ago.

I once asked a manufacturer how much a set of 4 of those knights would cost without the rest of the set, and the price they named was almost that of an entire set.
Sounds about right. The pieces take 5 minutes to make. The Knights take 5 hours.
